Internet Explorer 9 / Windows Live Wave 4: No WinXP support!

Windows Live is things like Hotmail (I'm sure this is excluded), SkyDrive, Messenger, Mail, Photo Gallery. Windows Live Messenger Wave 4 looks particularly impressive.

It's about time Microsoft starting dropping support for Windows XP and their Apps are a very good way to do this. It will likely just drive more people to another browser (Firefox/Chrome/Opera are much better anyway) but I still think it's a good idea. The last IE browser that worked on Windows Pro/Server 2000 was IE6. The trouble here is, Windows 2000 was quickly replaced by Windows XP (at least on Desktops), that hasn't happened and still won't happen for several years yet for Windows XP.

Windows Media Player 12 only works on Windows 7, oddly not even Vista.

p.s - I still use Windows XP at work but otherwise it's dead to me. My boss, "still" hasn't upgraded the VPN's firmware, so it's compatible with Vista/Windows 7. Which means no work Exchange e-mail, on these platforms. I again largely use Firefox, so it's no big deal.
