Not the exact same frame.

Thought so. The Wild Side picture is slightly cropped, soft and contrast boosted.
Still, it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would.

Strangely enough, the WS has more shadow detail in night scenes.

Thank you. :)

Is it really necessary to use PNG, though ?
That format is heavy as hell.

Whoops, Sorry Tom, yeah the format is heavy, but the actual capture is what you get from the dvd. Using JPG format, will result in a little loss of information, which may be crucial in someone need or getting the perfect A/V dvd

I will change the format in future :)

Slasher is a well-known PNG whore, becuz of his homebrew game development.

I have no problem with using PNG.
Hell, I'd be using 1024x576 PNG captures if Brad would let me.

I just feel bad for the 56k modem guys, that's all. :)

The Criterion looks much nicer. I wonder how the PAL-NTSC Madman R4 looks?

How many people still use 56K? If they do then frankly it's there tuff luck for staying in the past. I can't talk for anywhere else but 56K is actually more expensive in the UK to even the most basic Broadband package.

I <3 Tom, not visited this forum in forever and I come back to find that he's still doing these great comparisons and providing news on R2FR releases.
