Cool. This is one of Jackie's better ones right?

Re: Thunderbolt: UK release
Nope, because he was injured from Rumble in the Bronx the fighting in this film is a bit dodgy, with a lot of slow motion and stunt double work. It's an OK film, but not one of his best.bradavon wrote:Cool. This is one of Jackie's better ones right?

Re: Thunderbolt: UK release
Is it really Blu worthy? Like all these Chuck Norris Blu's, not necessary...

As far as the Thunderbolt goes... I'd say it's the other way round.luckystars wrote:Yes, to Jackie.

Re: Thunderbolt: UK release
I want to see some Jackie films to get respectfully handled Blu's in the uk. I'd support a Thunderbolt high def release if it was handled right, and people buying the films would hopefully encourage future releases. Everybody wins IMO

Jackie still makes it worth revisiting. I'd upgrade.
Btw has anyone seen or got the alternate intro from the Japanese cut? That should be an extra on the disc!

Re: Thunderbolt: UK release
I actually like Thunderbolt, as a movie.
As an action-movie or as a martial arts movie, obviously it's mediocre, but as a fun comedy-action flick with some cool racing in it, I enjoy watching it. Nice pacing, nice performances, etc etc.

I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

Re: Thunderbolt: UK release
My memory of Thunderball is a scene where Jackie and Michael Wong have an argument, during which they keep switching back and forth between Cantonese and English for no apparent reason.

I like it too. I like JC's performance, a bit more serious than normal. Less fooling about and just get right to it.

Re: Thunderbolt: UK release
Thunderbolt was OK but not one of his best IIRC.
I'd rather see a Blu of the Asian/USA cuts of Rumble. Who Am I is also a fun film IMO
How is the Blu of Police Story 3?

Only 'vintage' Jackie to have a reasonable HD release is Accidental Spy isn't it?

I think they're talking about older catalogue titles.saltysam wrote:Warlords,Bodyguards & Assassins..
New films should look pretty decent.
Haven't picked it up yet but Double Tap looks very good from caps.
