My Winsxs folder is 3.5Gb. The trouble with it is it also stores duplicate copies of speech recognition for Korean and Chinese plus those silly Sample Videos.

I don't need any of that crap but to delete them you first need to take ownership of each file as by default you don't have permission to delete them. This is easily done through File Permissions.

Obviously if in doubt don't delete any files, this folder is crucial to Vista.

EDIT 22/03/08: It is recommended you don't change the contents of this folder. If you do it's likely you won't be able to install SP1:
