McDonalds were giving away HMV vouchers?

I cannot remember the last time I went to McDonalds, the god awful place. Even for meat eaters they don't sell real burgers. Thanks btw.

I wonder why? When "Long Way Down" just finished tonight. I already own the original DVD of "Long Way Round" which I will be selling soon anyway.

Hitchcock: Master Of Suspense Collection: 7 DVD: Box Set - £8.99

I think these are safe to buy. It's the Warner not Universal box set.

12 days later and my account still says:

"Open order - please click on order number for detailed information"

Useless!

I e-mailed them on Tuesday and so far no reply. I've just e-mailed them again. I bought it for my (twin) sisters birthday tomorrow (as well as something else). I've had to tell her it will be late

Tell me about it mate, I've had an order on there 'open' for nearly 2 weeks now, and another on there for a few days and counting, despite both being in stock! Annoyingly, the second order is 2 gifts for people, so it had better hurry up and get sent!

Now I've missed the birthday she's coming down for Xmas. So I may as well wait a few more days before calling them.

Mine has shipped today. It only took them 15 days, even at Xmas that's shit.

Well my order finally arrived today. 22 bloody days to ship a simple DVD they presumably had in stock!

Useless!

I was starting to get worried I'd have to tell my sister again it's not arrived. I definitely won't be using HMV again for orders I need for a certain date. It's no wonder they're in financial trouble if this is there level of service.

EDIT: I've literally just received a HMV January sale e-mail. If I bought something I'd be lucky to get it in time for Spring

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest 2-disc SE £2.99

http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProd ... _id=101469

Austin Powers £1.99

good buy as the new SE doesn't seem worth the upgrade

http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProd ... sku=140902

Wheels On Meals 2-disc platinum £5.99

Austin Powers: The old DVD is the one to go for. It's cheaper, has all the same extras on 1 disc, "possibly" better PQ, is the longer European cut and is in the correct 2.35:1 aspect ratio. The latter two are also on the new "so called" SE but the R1 has neither.

Thanks Salty.

I saw King Kong (2005) 3 Disc SE in store for only £4. It's also £3.99 online too:

http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProd ... sku=561632

I didn't see anything else of note. As usual their Foreign Language sale is virtually non-existent. The HD Disc deal was 3 for 2 but as the discs go for £30 each it didn't seem all that exciting.

Little Britain Series Box sets for £2.99 each:

Series 2:

http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProd ... sku=414272

Series 3:

http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProd ... sku=516851

Series 1 is £6.99, online anyway. They're apparently £3 in store!

Saw the Vengeance Trilogy Boxset (the one with the hammer) for £30 in HMV Brent Cross.

Link below for price comparison and to show which one I mean.

Didn't buy it, just returned to the country and got no money. I thought it was a good price.

That is a good price. Did they also have the non-hammer version too? Thanks.
