My TV dislikes the Mei Ah disc for some reason. Sometimes darkness/shadows display as bright red. I'm not kidding. I don't know what's causing it. I must have tested over 500 dvds with that TV and this is the only one causing problems. Everything is fine on my computer screen, though.

The Mei Ah looks a bit sharper and brighter IMO.
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Yeah. Mei Ah has much better brightness. FF however looks otherwise very good. Also, I don't have the equipment to make any statements but even on my 28" the FF looks somehow more "stable". Is this because one is progressive and the other isn't? I though I wouldn't notice any difference because I don't have any high end equipment...

Anyway, both are good IMO

Provided your computer has a DVD drive of some type it's dead simple. Read "Easy Alternative method for taking caps" here:

But I see Beat is going to do it in this instance.

Except for the Mei Ah they all look so similar it's hard to tell which looks better. I'd pick up the R1 though, as it's the best English friendly version.

I'd go with the R2 in terms of subs. They translate lines the way they should be and make more sense. But on the other hand, R1 has its' attributes and translates more words in sentences properly which I'm sure the other English-subbed releases doesn't (R2 misses some of those words leaving out what's actually being told outside the subs). R1 wins for the extras.
