I'm sure both of them will be the R rated cuts, there is an alternate Vol. 2 Japanese cut too.

Doesn't it have extra or different footage? I think it's very minor though.

As far as I remember theres one scene theres a few seconds in the brothel new, not worth seeing really.

It has been a while mind you, not that I am in a hurry to view it again :D

Only Part 1 is worth the new cut for me.

I've yet to see my Eureka MOC DVD. I hear it's a classic.

Re: Those links:

* American Werewolf on BD will have new extras, they look pretty damn good.
* That Warner link also mentions a 300 Special Edition BD.

I wonder if the American Werefolf disc will get a remastered picture too.

300 will probably just carry over the extras from the hd-dvd that were missing from the origina blu-rayl release.

300 £3.60 on HD DVD, or 4-5 times that price for a Blu Ray?

Anyone who has a HD DVD player would be crackers to go Blu.

Just FYI: The BD has PCM which by accounts is much better than the TrueHD on the HD-DVD (and BD).

That's what the link says.

PCM and DTS-HD tracks are just louder.

You could say the same about DTS vs. DD5.1 but I happen to think it often sounds better.

If it sounds better to me, then it's better. The technical reason why is often less important.

There's a valid argument there since you were often dealing with 384/448kbps vs 764kbps.

With properly decoded lossless audio vs. PCM, it's just the placebo effect. The only argument you're left with is wearing a pot on your head and banging it with a wooden spoon.

Yeah, those whom not only use Itunes or WMP, but have also DSP effects turned on say the same thing.

You use WMP :?. Do you have all the DSP effects turned off on your Amp? Personally I like them for Movies but not Music.

Wow, you really missed the point there. It's was an analogy. For Music-listening, Itunes and WMP are amongst the worst players. There are people who reckon that DSP effects make their music sound better, they're ignorant.

Many use Winamp. I used to but today it doesn't cut the mustard.

I use MPC for video (WMP sucks!) and WMP11 for music, which it does a fab job of doing. The screen shots I've seen of WMP12 look cool too. Not being an Ipod fan I've no use for Itunes.

I didn't really. I knew it was an analogy, but you still use WMP :D, so how can it suck?

You're really behind the times, Winamp is the most powerful and customisable players around, after Foobar2000. Only the clueless reckon that it's bloated.

I don't use it, where did you get the idea that I did?
From my status MSN? That's a Winamp plugin, fool.

I don't think it's bloated. I dislike the interface ;). I hated Media Libraries prior to WMP11, which IMO looks excellent. I can hardly be behind the times if I use WMP v11 :D. I stopped using Winamp years ago, back in the day it rocked though. Why is it so good, again?

No, the fact you've said many times you dislike WMP10 and use (or rather used) WMP9. Remember, fool! :D.
