It's a commonly used acronym.bradavon wrote:Eva then comes along and invents his own(BRD)
Memorable and unique branding that can be then trademarked would be the most obvious guess.I've no idea why it's Blu not Blue though.

No but I hear it's good too. It and Lady in the Water (which is far to risky to blind buy at £18.99) are the only other two HD-DVD Combos I'm interested in.
Good Night, and Good Luck is also £18.99 but should be good. It's annoying Combos are so much. AAWIL at £15.99 is acceptable but £18.99 is pricey.
What 13 have you got? That must've cost you a fortune. It's been delayed again, until when?

Well the Einsteins at Universal have done it again, the HD-DVD of Lynch's Dune has ONLY the theatrical cut.
The Extended cut maybe a mess, but it should be there nonetheless since it was on the DVD.

Dip into what? HD-DVDs or Dune?bradavon wrote:(are you going to dip in soon Eva then?).
The R1 Dune DVD I'll buy eventually, just to complete my Lynch collection.
I'll be buying a Xbox 360 for sure next year, so I'll probably get HD-DVD addon somewhere down the line as well. In the mean time I'll probably pick up some combo discs of films I don't already own, like Land of the Dead, Miami Vice and Brokeback Mountain (I'm fully aware of the condition the two latter combos are in. I can live without seeing the MV DC and BM extras for a good while.)

Just watched Fearless looked absolutely lovely, after watching flipped over to the dvd side and the difference is very apparent. i like the way you can bring up chapter selection, special features etc whilst the movie is still playing 8) one downside up to now on the warner bros release i looked at there was a 2 minute preview before the main menu that i couldn't override
