I like them both equally. I really wish ITV would make an effort. Sure I know their remit has always been to create programming for the lower class but seeing as most people are now middle class this no longer works.
They barely seem to make any effort ever. I try to avoid it but Coronation Street is a good example of how ITV works compared with The BBC. Every time I have watched a Coronation Street episode it comes across as if they've deliberately tried to film real life. Meaning all the mundane and frankly dull conversations we might have on a daily basis.
It doesn't exactly make for entertaining viewing. The BBC with East Enders however has considerably better acting and entertaining story lines. Sure they're not remotely realistic but at least they're entertaining.
Strangely I her Corrie is more popular.

In Brad's world most people are middle class. Only middle class people can afford to be liberals. If you're a liberal by very definition you're also middle class. Poor people are either labour or socialist. Rich or upper middle are mostly Tories. How's that for generalisations?
That cute Natalie girl had a main role in The Descent.EvaUnit02 wrote:It does have some very nice looking women on it though. Emma Pierson and Natalie Jackson Mendoza, MMMMMMM.

No seriously. I heard statistically most people in The UK are now middle class.Markgway wrote:In Brad's world most people are middle class.
Huh? When did I ever say any of that?Markgway wrote:Only middle class people can afford to be liberals. If you're a liberal by very definition you're also middle class. Poor people are either labour or socialist. Rich or upper middle are mostly Tories. How's that for generalisations?![]()
You're a Torie fanboy and keep telling us you're working class.

Well, that's bollocks for starters.bradavon wrote:No seriously. I heard statistically most people in The UK are now middle class.
You didn't. I did. That wasn't a quote.Huh? When did I ever say any of that?
TORY (at least spell it correctly) fanboy I am not. Just because I think Lib-Dems are largely a waste of space and New Labour are a big fucking disappointment doesn't make me a died-in-the-wool blue nose. It just so happens that Labour now punish poor people more than the Tories ever did... and I, like a lot of people, want to see a change in government (see the pasting Labour took in the England/Wales elections). Since The Conservative Party are the ONLY alternative it's a 50-50 choice. Except in Scotland where you can vote SNP. But as the general election is another year or two away I'm not worrying about that yet... Can't see Gordon Brown still being leader at that time. You're a Torie fanboy and keep telling us you're working class.

Is it bollocks? Most people are better off than they were 10-15 years ago. You reckon most people are working class?Markgway wrote:Well, that's bollocks for starters.
I was copying how you spelt itMarkgway wrote:TORY (at least spell it correctly)
Personally I can. He was so determined to get in and had no competition, why? Because everyone was scared of him.Markgway wrote:Can't see Gordon Brown still being leader at that time.
I think most people dislike him but not his party. They dislike the Tory party. There isn't any decent party left. The Liberal Democrats are the only decent party left but like you say they don't do anything and have no strength whatsoever.
I've no idea who I'd vote for:
* The Conservatives stink and I don't agree with most what they stand for. I never have.
* Labour have a dreadful leader. Gordon Brown simply cannot compete against Tony Blair (Iraq aside).
* Liberal Democrats have some good policies but are so inept.
Historically I've always voted Liberal Democrats because at least I agree with the policies.
