Shaun of the Dead
Top: DVD
Bottom: HD-DVD
The HD screenshots are all from HDMOVIES.co.nz, notice the watermark. I matched them with the DVD. Shaun of the Dead looks absolutely perfect in
high definition, even though the up-converted SD-DVD looked pretty good too. There's no denying the benefits of HD. Natural film grain is present
and is accompanied by robust colours. There is a slight bit of edge enhancement but nothing to get too worried about. This is a very fine
presentation that's only downfall is that it wasn't shot on the highest quality film stock, but this is still a stellar presentation

Its a superb transfer thats for sure, good job I upgraded my old dvd (which was signed by the cast and director so have to keep it). I have had my HD versions for a few weeks, never watched it yet. If only I had a gigantic 100inch screen.
Bit more difference than the dreadful Infernal Affairs comparison
