Robocop
Top: HD Broadcast (probably what was originally used for BD)
Bottom: North American Blu-ray
These BD and Broadcast screen captures were taken by a member on the AVSforum who goes by the name of "House". This has made me doubt the
newer transfer. It appears way too soft and the colours are odd. DNR has
obviously been used too. But the Broadcast version, which was also used
for the older DVD and recalled BD is too blue at times, has contrast boosting and excessive dirt and debris. Damn.

The contrast looks more balanced out in the BD edition, especially when looking at the light reflection off of Robocop's helmet in the last cap comparison. But yeah, DNR seemed to be used. The broadcast version seems a bit too grainy in some shots (grain is good in high definition... but some shots look overdone), while the BD looks too soft. If there was some type of "grain/sharpness happy medium" (not to mention finding a color scheme between the blue of the broadcast and the red of the BD), this would be perfect... then again, I don't really know what I'm talking about
