surely the mgm region 3 of this fillm blows all other editions out of the water with it being the most complete version and having excellent PQ

It has good extras and is complete but from what I hear the HD has the best picture. Not sure though, you could be correct.

Aside from the moon it looks good. I don't think the actual HD version looks that bad though.

While I think the HD wins this one, it definitely looks like a pretty shit HD release! There's little increas in detail over the DVD releases and just look at the EE present in that shot of the castle!

FYI the HD-DVD release is a combo disc, the caps were taken from the SD-DVD side. The EE could've been applied when the SD transfer was being downscaled from the HD master.

Erm... who funked up the colours on the HD release? And the last screenie is a "completely different" frame than the others.

The SD-DVD from the HD-DVD is by far the best. Would be great to see how the HD print looks like compared to the SD-DVD.

The R3HK DC has similar colours to the HD-DVD IIRC.

Of course they should look yellow! Just as Chinese should look pink and Japanese should be red.
