Ninja Wars: Adness R1 vs IVL R3

Post by HungFist »

I’m using extra large caps becase the main difference between the discs is compression.

Top: Adness R1
Bottom: IVL R3 HK

(this last cap is taken with interlace killers on to make the pixelization more visible)

Both transfers are obviously based on the same source material. While Adness decided to clean their master (see cap 4),
IVL decided to compress it. Just look at the first and the last caps. The first cap looks even worse viewed on my 28” TV. I can
only imagine how it will look on a big sceen.

Both transfers are interlaced. Both dvds are also rather barebones (IVL has two trailers, Adness has 8 trailers). IVL disc is
3,89 GB in total, Adness is 6,25 GB.

That says it all. What!

Is the IVL single layer? It may as well be.

I assume so. How do I find out? The package doesn't say anything about it.

Why the window boxing?

Adness is sharper.
