**If anyone has matching caps for the R1 SE I'll edit them in, thx.

Thanks to Jin Mode for the R2-SE caps. I've resized them to 16:9.

I think your comparison is a bit incomplete. But there's only 6 R1 captures.

Is this the R1 or R1 SE?

Predator is great but Predator 2 is dire. Danny Glover trying to be Arnie ok-ay.

Yeah I know. I was being flippant. It says at the bottom of Mark's thread.

Erm....Predator 2 is far from dire. Glover doesn't try to be Arnie at all; he portrays a much more vulnerable hero than the man mountain that is Dutch. I think it's a very good sequel. The Predator in the sequel is more of a bad mofo too, with some slick weapons. 8)

I agree with Brooce on this one. From what I heard, many consider this to be the best sequel in the world. I admire director Hopkins' character driven approach and his firm grasp of tension and humour. Also love Paxton's contribution. Predator 2 is insanely triumphant and one sexy bitch of a sequel.

Be interesting to see a comparison on this one. Cheers Mark for taking the initiative.

And there lies the problem Glover is pathetic in comparison. The film for me is just really average. This is a Predator film and should have had lots of kick ass gun fights.

WTF??? The best sequel in the world. I've really heard everything now.

Annoying when people don't bother to read what's starring them in the face isn't it

Predator 2 is a good "shit movie". I remember the scene on the train when all these grannies and bystanders all pull out guns on Glover or one of the other cops and later the predator slaughters all of them becuz they're armed and thus worthy prey.

I now wish that that alien skull hadn't have been in the hunting party's ship, then we wouldn't have gotten Anderscum's dire AvP and Fox would've given the okay for Scott & Cameron to make Alien 5. Yes, Cameron & Scott wanted to make a fifth Alien film but FUCKING Fox turned 'em down so that Anderscum could make AvP.

The sense of studios amazes me sometimes.

How they could possibly think Anderson could do a better job than either Scott & Cameron is beyond me.

The R2 looks washed out. I can't believe those images are from a "Special Edition". I'd heard it was worse than the R1 which is why I wanted to do a comparison in the first place. I'd like to see some R1 Sp. Ed caps to complete the comparison. Saltysam has the R1 SE and said he do some caps but that was weeks ago.
