Send it back unopened.
Unless you ordered it from overseas, in which case it's probably cheaper to put it on e-bay.

I'll compare the 2 versions but I imagine theyre the same (uncut, Mandarin mono) just one is NTSC and the other PAL, right? I used to have the IVL but never released thats slightly cut, and it doesnt translate the text on screen.

"IVL - Yes, 1.5 sec missing where San Te in the 'Head Chamber' scene hitting sandbags - 111 minutes NTSC"I used to have the IVL but never released thats slightly cut, and it doesnt translate the text on screen.
I never knew that. Probably just a mastering error.

Oops I meant "I never REALISED the IVL was slightly cut" not "released"

Re: What Have You Just Ordered or Received?
Received my Oneplus One smartphone on monday. First smartphone I've owned. It's pretty good I guess. Not much to compare it to (less bendy than a banana, less yellow as well...)
Only thing that's annoying is finding apps that are free and without annoying adds, so I'll probably just torrent them and install them through USB< and hopefully I'll get 'clean' apps that way...

Re: What Have You Just Ordered or Received?
Is the Korean Blu better than the UK Blu?
When I saw Hero in the cinema around 2004, I could have sworn the way the film opened was slightly different from the HK DVD version - more exposition with a map of ancient China etc

Yes your exactly right
Regarding the bluray the Korean blu has HD audio for the Mandarin, but the English subs are for Hard of Hearing so they include extra stuff you don't need onscreen

Re: What Have You Just Ordered or Received?
What's the UK Blu like? Is there an HK Blu at all?
Somehow I get the feeling the 2004 version is a new revision (?) and seems to be the standard version now, I prefer the 2002 opening with the text on the black screen and the haunting violin score.

Re: What Have You Just Ordered or Received?
The UK BluRay isn't the director's cut, right? Pretty sure it isn't.
I've got the mainland DVD which is the director's cut, but the quality isn't great, especially because there's a watermark coming into frame every 10 minutes orso. Stupid.
I bought a bootleg BluRay of Hero last year in China which said it was the director's cut, but sadly of course, it wasn't. Disappointing. Would love to have this movie in great quality on BR and it being the Director's Cut, but sadly, no luck just yet. Frustrating.
Fucking fantastic movie. Poor releases. House of Flying dagger only has gotten shitty BR releases, right!? It's almost like they ruin these gorgeous movies on purpose.

"Chris D."? Wonder why the author hasn't put his full (or real) name to it? Scared of Yakuza repercussions?HungFist wrote:Finally ordered this. It's no less than 800 pages...

Branded to Kill Criterion (rerelease)
Tokyo Drifter Criterion (rerelease)
Laurel and Hardy Collection Vol. 1
Kickin in Shaolin Style (DVD set)
Death Warrant/Double Impact
Seeking Justice BD/DVD
All three of these are MOD:
Spymaker: The Secret Life of Ian Fleming
Cocaine: One Man’s Seduction
Planet Earth
Are any of these any good? I picked them up at FYE for an awesome price considering how much they cost online.

Re: What Have You Just Ordered or Received?
Ordered and received the Limited Edition of Metal Gear Rising, which comes with a cool 30cm figure of Raiden, in white.
http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms/xb ... 47081.html
No interest in playing the game, cause it doesn't have the original Japanese voices, but bought it only for the cool figurine, which is supposedly pretty limited. Will keep it boxed for now, although perhaps later I'll put it in my study.

Why would you buy earphones that cancel noise? Isn't the whole point of earphones so you can hear sound!?grim_tales wrote:Recieved:

I've got a Vita as well btw. Bought it because I have a PS+ subscription, which means I already had quite a few 'free' games saved up. Only game I bought is Everybody's Golf.

Re: What Have You Just Ordered or Received?
I bought the new slim model Vita, the new screen isnt as good as the "old" OLED one apparently, but its bigger and the machine has better battery life so I figured that was more important

Re: What Have You Just Ordered or Received?
I bought the OLED including 10 games for 150 euro a few months ago. A slightly better battery-life isn't that important to me, cause I'm usually home anyway, and I don't play all that long sessions.
I would have liked a more comfortable grip, plus in Hong Kong they had the new Vita wityh some awesome colors, so I was very tempted.
Big negative for Vitas are the extremely expensive memory cards. I only have the 8GB that came with the Vita, so that's full with games.

Re: What Have You Just Ordered or Received?
Yeah, I found that too about memory cards. At least with the 3DS you can save to the internal memory
