On the cover? They've made it more legible.

Criterion goes 3D with 'Pina': http://www.criterion.com/films/28404-pina

I'm not fussed about any of their January releases, my wallet is grateful.

Did you get this Gas? Good quality then? Sweet, reviews are favourable.

Where's the cheapest to pick it up? I'm totally behind where's the best place to get Criterion Blu-rays from. Thanks.

Not NL, but how does the Being John Malkovich compare to the UK one?

Naked Lunch was a good movie (I think I got most of it), but just very weird :D

I don't see how that's his best film in any way, shape, or form! There are rumours that Criterion will be releasing Scanners in the near future though, due to their 2013 teaser picture. (Which also suggests Eraserhead is coming).

The Brood is Cronenberg's best early film imo, it feels like the first film where he really became complete as a director/writer. Rabid & Shivers are quite good, but they're quite cold as well, they don't really have any characters that you want to invest in.

the new german BD of Scanners is reportedly excellent, i had the old one which was crap but for me the movie just didn't do it for me after all these years, i sold it on and won't be replacing it. there's a trilogy set coming to the uk from second sight.

Videodrome, The Fly, and Dead Ringers spring to mind as Cronenberg's best films.

The almost ten year period between making The Brood to Dead Ringers is pretty phenomenal by any filmmaker's standard, a run ironically (given what started this discussion) broken by The Naked Lunch.
