Re: Che: Criterion in January
It's two movies, apparently with a very different feel to them. I hear Part 2 is better. The films have polarised people it seems, you either love or hate them. Both parts were given a ridiculously small UK release in cinemas.
Terrorist? It depends who you ask, one man's terrorist, is another's saviour. The t-shirts are due to his pop culture popularity, you can get them all over the world. Whilst sugar coated to an extend, he's certainly not portrayed as a terrorist in the fantastic Motorcycle Diaries, although that is set before he becomes Che.
Playboy bunnies are very popular with little girls, despite coming from a male adult porn mag. Go figure.

Huh?
What's that got do with Che? I'm guessing you mean how the bunnies have crossed into culture outside of Playboy but in the US Playboy is relatively mild and not really porn.

Isn't it obvious? Che is considered something, he originally was never intended to be. The same with the Playboy bunny.grim_tales wrote:What's that got do with Che?
Playboy is considered mild in most countries but yes it's still porn. Soft porn is still porn.grim_tales wrote:but in the US Playboy is relatively mild and not really porn.

I'd reckon about 90% of the knobs who own 'Che' t-shirts have no clue about what the guy did or stood for. In fact owning a 'Che' t-shirt should be grounds for a right good kicking. Whether or not you agree with his extreme left-wing politics, the man was also a murderer, executing "traitors" who no longer wanted to fight for him, instigator of the Cuban Missile Crisis (he was pissed at the Russians for backing down), and getting knee deep in blood in many subsequent revolutions. I don't think Hugh Hefner has done anything like that - as yet.

Well, no .
I was surprised to see how revered Ho Chi Minh is in Vietnam, even renaming the capitol city to "Ho Chi Minh City". Yet you ask the Yanks and he's a terrorist, simple!
Not that I'm disagreeing with Mark's comments. I don't know too much about Che myself.

What! Links Romero, links.
His views on women make him a dinosaur and get bloody dressed. I don't think he's someone to look up to but many do.

Well no, but that wasn't my point.Markgway wrote:Yeah, but you don't see many Ho Chi Minh t-shirts in the west do you?

About right I guess hahabradavon wrote:What! Links Romero, links.
You vile beast nahh I dont even go near that sort of stuff, give it a google if you are really into that.
I think it was one of his friends I remember forced to bend over and let a big dog do her at a big Hef party, but she had been told by some of the other Bunnies to just back into it and it puts the dog out of stride.
Vile puke ridden stuff I say, he needs to be shot. So many stories about that piece of shit Hefner that frankly why anyone thinks he is cool is beyond me, sticking him in films etc... makes me want to beat him with a brick.
The things that become icons on T shirts etc,, boggles the mind, much like Che.

You don't believe everything you read on the web right Romero? If that were true, it would be common knowledge.

Err it is common knowlege if you knew what to read and who it was done to etc.. (Linda Lovelace by the way, get googling) but how many major publications will print that sort of shit, it is not exactly easy reading. You assume I even read it on the net, I did not, but it will be there and so will countless other fact bases sicko stories.
I have read countless things about good old boy Hef, he is not a nice guy, he is a scumbag. Much like Che but I guess never acctually killed anyone in person, yet.

Urggh I googled it haha just to see if what I remember was right, she had done a beasiality film before that party, but that was said to have been at gunpoint (by her then partner!) so it kind of makes it all even more mental than I remember icon_suspect what a world....

Yup, he wanted to see it, at his party. I would call that plenty to do with it.

You said he forced her to fuck a dog, you're now saying he wanted to watch the video "she'd already done". That's not the same in the slightest.

Re: Che: Criterion in January
Provide one link that says she actually performed a live bestiality sex act for Hefner, from all I could find she was prepared to perform the act but was unable to do so on the night because the dog didn't take to it. As much as I don't want to seem like I'm sticking up for Hefner in any way, but inviting a porn star to a hedonistic and debauched Playboy party to perform a live sex act that - presumably for all he was aware of at the time - she's seemingly a willingly participant in is definitely NOT the same thing as "making his ladies get raped by animals".romerojpg wrote:Nope, she had in the "Past" done a video agasint her will, she did it live at his party later on.

As per usual every "fact" you've stated in this thread is either flat out wrong or has been taken completely out of context.

Did you find anything to say Heffner was even an active participate? I cannot. As usual, Romero greatly exaggerating or making up shit.
