I never really cared much for Fight Club. Seven is excellent, and I havent seen Alien 3, PR, Benjamin Button and Zodiac yet.
My girlfriend thought BB was quite boring, but she finds pretty much everything boring. She can barely sit through a commercial without complaining it's too long.

I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

* Alien 3 - Very good, very unfairly treated, not as good as Alien or Aliens 3. I've only seen the Theatrical Cut.
* Seven - Outstanding, if this was average cinema would be a in lot better shape, not that it's in a bad shape.
* The Game - Pretty good, not one I've had any inclination to return too.
* Fight Club - Excellent.
* Panic Room - Also excellent, simple story but very effective.
* Zodiac - Decent but boy it's far too complicated. I don't say this often but trying to put the "entire" life of the case into a single film was too much. I definitely need to see it again though.
I've not seen Benjamin Button (it looks pants) but Zodiac is probably his weakest, even though it's still very well made. Seven and to a lesser extend are easily Fincher's best work.

She is actually quite highly educated, but sadly, that doesnt really seem to transfer much into her taste for movies, videogames, music, clothes, or men, in fact.Markgway wrote:That's what you get for dating an intellectual.Yi-Long wrote:My girlfriend thought BB was quite boring, but she finds pretty much everything boring. SAW Spoilers:
I've never understood the appeal of Saw, extremely clunky dialogue, massively contrived plotting, overbearing "ROCKKKKKKK!!!!! direction and music", Danny Glover delivering his worst performance to date, and casting Tobin Bell as the villain without distorting his voice was a very stupid move because the guy has a distinctive voice that ruins the "twist" at the end, because all through the film you are waiting for Tobin Bell to arrive. When he doesn't the conclusion to the film is obvious.
