Here in Holland it loosened up to about 150 euro orso (from 22-23 euro before)

I'm not aware of the customs limit here changing, I'll see if I can find out.

Import VAT is payable on all internet shopping bought from outside the EU where the value is above €22 (£18).

Customs duty is payable on imported goods with a value of €150 (£120), although payment is waived if the amount of duty is less than €10 (£7).

Wow.... that sucks.

Here in Holland it's loosened. I thought it was for more countries in the EU, and I believe people here on the board also mentioned it changing for the UK.

I'm confused now Gastero - does what you quoted mean an end to customs charges if the item is above £18? :?

How do you read that? The first line is pretty clear. We thought it was going to be increased but it turns out it was Customs not Import Duty :(.

Tower.com are decent. I've not used them lately, due to the exchange rate.

I've ended up using Movietyme because they seem the most UK friendly, in the Tower.com shipping information it said about customs charges so I didn't want to risk it. Movietyme has free UK shipping, that's ace! I decided to pay £1.99 for the fastest shipping though as I still think that's very good and I'm quite eager to get this disc lol.

They re-ship from the UK, confirmed a few times.

Given the exchange rate, MovieTyme are cheaper though.

Movietyme are fine though i've never used their faster shipping option so can't comment on how faster delivery is with it.Axel have gone very pricey and Tower i use nowadays for box sets like Planet Of The Apes.still only flat rate $4.99 per item even for box sets.

Nooooo!!!

I got my last disc in 4 days from them, people who pay that extra cash have had to wait longer than me :D dont waste your cash paying for that stupid extra waste of a fee. You would have to get it the same day for £2 extra!

Axelmusic are dogshit.

Free, the best way :D

Thing is you can pay £10 shipping on 1 dvd, does not mean they even have it in stock or at hand, so even if you pay loads more you could still wait weeks till they get it into stock. Then they will post it, so in my eyes paying more is insanity from many companies.

I have waited 3 weeks or 3 days from Movietyme, depends on stock most of the time for the delays.

Mind you when I compnained I got free vouchers, but thats ussually when they dont get stock for ages.

I've never chosen to pay extra for delivery before, but I really want this disc ASAP and the difference in estimated arrival dates is fairly big.

It depends what delivery the extra £2 gets you. Next day Courier and Special Delivery will beat normal Royal Mail hands down.
