Oh right. I didn't know, cheers. It does look rubbish to me though. Has it even had a UK release?

Thanks Salty.

I'm interested in Wolf Creek but I'll wait for the re-release BD. The UK BD has the same spec. (DD5.1 + the same extras) but is annoyingly Region B, the only Optimum BD so far that is.

I'll pick up Run Lola Run too but it's not one I'm in a rush to pick up.

the uk Wolf Creek encode is poorer than the usa hd-dvd and is also not the extended version.

Thanks. I didn't even know there was two cuts. The UK Wolf Creek is annoyingly MPEG2.

More reason to wait then. I'd pick up Total Recall BD over the HD-DVD though despite the HD-DVD looking better. If I can I only want BD now.

Wolf Creek I imagine you will hate the film Brad, from everything you say its not the kind of film you would want to see in any way.

i don't get your reasoning if you are getting a combo :? i don't know if you've seen Wolf Creek but far better to pay a fiver for the hd-dvd than pay double for the BD (assuming you are getting a combo)and if you are why opt to buy the dearer, inferior TR over the cheaper, better hd-dvd :?

It's funny you should say that Romero, as part of me was thinking the same.

Because I'm thinking ahead. It's certainly possible I will only own one Combo Player and 5+ years time I'll have to buy a BD Player. BD is the future, HD-DVD is a stop gap.

TR BD is the same price as the HD-DVD.

if you get a reliable combo then it should last more than 5 years.by which time blu-ray will likely to have been superceded anyway.

But hey you could love Wolf Creek :D you never know. Still for £5 its very easy to get rid of it for a little more. Idiots are still paying well over £10 for it on forums! they are idiots as hell its in big words on the same forum about the bargains!

I paid £2.49 for Wolf Creek standard dvd set, shame as I would prefer the HD version. Not the best film veer made, but nasty and memorable for some parts.

I know. I wasn't saying 5 years literally.

I don't think BD will have been superseded in 5 years. It will take longer than that. It's just better IMO to future proof, if you readily can.

Again where? I've not checked the R1 DVD prices but its' the cheapest I could find the UK DVD.

I was aware the HD-DVD was cheap but not everyone wants that. Please stop making wild accusation about prices with rarely backing it up by evidence.

Fearless at £7.99 is a good price.

It's weird how it also includes their £15+ discs too.

Not a lot, but enough for me: Elizabeth the Golden Age USA HD-DVD -

HD-DVD Combo = Bad
DD Plus or TrueHD = Good

The TrueHD is dropped in place of lots of DD Plus dubs. The same in fact as Bourne Ultimatum.
