It's actually a soviet made magnetic audio tape player. Some of my old man's rare records still are in need of being converted into digital format. The player actually serves more as an amplifier for the speakers (one of them you can see in the pic). =]

oops, looks like I didn't finish the sentence...

I meant to say that sometimes it's not so simple...

Example 1: Sukeban Deka
You can see The Sukeban Deka volumes are in box sets (series 1, 2 and 3), however, they are only sold as 13 separate volumes. The box set comes with the first volume of each series (and is half empty until you purchase the other volumes). Actually, only the OOP first press came with the box sets, so most people who own all volumes don't have the box sets. So, is it 3 DVD or 13 DVDs?

Example 2: Hanzo the Razor
These films were only ever released in a box set (three movies) but I threw the box set away as it was ugly. Now I have the three films in their own, original amaray cases... does it count as 3 or 1?

Example 3: Nikkatsu Noir
5 films, only released in a box set. They come with individual cases, however, I keep them in the box set. Is that 1 or 5?

Example 4: Bloodsport & Timecop
Flipper with 2 films on one dvd. Is that 1 or 2?

I thought you had a lot more blu-rays than that.

A few more in the Asian shelves, but there's so little interesting stuff coming out on BD.... Mainly reissues of classics that are already available on dvd... why would I spend my money on something I already own, when tons of interesting films I've never seen before are only available on dvd, or making their home video debut on dvd... I'd rather buy something new on dvd than the 17th edition of Terminator 2...

It depends on the BD. Some BDs look a hell of a lot better than their DVD counterpart.

Personally I could a box set as one but I was only after a ball park figure. I once had 600, now I've got 400. It's enough. I really didn't like having to put them in boxes/draws etc...
