Blue, it's a fault with the HD master so both the Criterion and Artificial Eye releases have the problem.luckystars wrote:Which film/release did they get wrong?
Apparently a mic is visible in one scene as well, so Grim I'd personally keep the DVD as the benefits of extra resolution are less important than frame composition and visible boom mics, but it's your callgrim_tales wrote: No I didnt know that, should I hold onto my R1 old DVD set?

No. But $8.48 postage for a single item puts the total cost ($28.47 or £17.61) over my threshold. Gas may laugh but some of us can't afford to justify paying over the odds for a piece of plastic. I have the Universal BD which cost me £6.99 and is quite sufficient.saltysam wrote:do you expect free shipping from the States?Markgway wrote:I'd pay $19.99 for Dazed and Confused. Re: The General DVD/HD Disc Bargains Thread!
i understand but have you noticed how much uk shipping to usa has gone up lately? it's a sign of the times.sadly if you have a threshold for Criterions these days good luck.personally there's not enough in the sale to tempt me...i think it's aimed more at people who will buy more than one, shipping then becomes a lot cheaperMarkgway wrote:No. But $8.48 postage for a single item puts the total cost ($28.47 or £17.61) over my threshold. Do B&N mark ALL shipments as 'book'? I mean, is there some risk involved? Also what happens if you don't pay the tax - do they items get returned?

Re: The General DVD/HD Disc Bargains Thread!
all i know is multiple threads going back months on various forums (avforums,roobarbs,blu-ray.com etc) all state packages fronm B&N arrive marked as books..it's why the Criterion lovers actively salivate at this twice yearly sale, they order multiple titles at a time knowing they won't get hit....Markgway wrote:Do B&N mark ALL shipments as 'book'? I don't think they do pre-orders on Criterions, otherwise they're comparable.Markgway wrote:I prefer Allyourmusic to Moviemars.

Is it 5 cases in a box? I have Cobra/Tango and Cash but could sell them - was wondering if it would save space if I had the box. Great price.
