Play.com ceasing retail operations in March
Play are stopping retail sales in March and instead will become a hosting site for 3rd party sellers...hardly ever use them now but still another option gone,shame.

Sad news, as it was the e-tailer that pretty much convinced me to get a credit card and start online shopping.
That said, they kinda lost me once we European customers could only pay with euros instead of pounds, with them using a very poor exchange-rate. The nail in the coffin was when they started to ask me to also enter a 'pin'number when using my CC, which I didn't have nor could be bothered with.
I think they lost a whole lot of overseas customers because of those 2 changes, so they only have themselves to blame.

I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...
