Ok, final chance to get custom subbed discs! I'm off to school girl land next week, and won't be able to custom sub anything after that. The discs will remain available for a while longer (I'll ask the family to ship them if a buyer emerges) until I get a chance to have have them (the Japanese dvds) delived to Japan where I will sell them to local customers.

I've also added a few more discs... and may still be adding more until next week... I still have a big pile of unwatched Japanese dvds... it's ironic I can't watch them because I'll be in Japan...

A Homance (R2J, no subs) ($21)



The only directorial work by the legendary actor Yusaku Matsuda (though unknown in the West, he is considered comparable to James Dean and Bruce Lee in Japan) is a truly odd action film. Matsuda himself stars as mysterious stranger arriving a new town by motorcycle. The silent man gets himself employed by the yakuza, of course! Comes with amazingly stylized visuals, Ryo Ishibashi’s (Suicide Club, Audition) wonderful theme song “After 45”, and of course Matsuda himself!

Note: if you like Yusaku Matsuda films, then you should also enjoy Bara no hyoteki (Target) (R2J Toei, $21). With same director (Tooru Murakawa), same production branch (Toei Central), exact same concept and even near identical trailer mixing still images and great theme song, it could just as well be the 4th part in Matsuda’s famed Yugi action film series.

Guilty of Romance: Uncut Japanese Blu-Ray (145 min) (no subs) $27

Sion Sono's sex thriller was heavily cut (about 30 minutes) for international distribution. The International Version not only lost the film's best part - the detective's storyline - but also Miki Mizuno's nude and sex scenes! The Japanese Blu-Ray is uncut and uncensored, unlike the UK and HK Blu-Ray's which contain the cut version.
