The 100 best British films

Post by gasteropod »

Time Out counts down the best British films, as chosen by the film industry:

Your thoughts? Mine = 2001: A Space Odyssey should be higher than #57, it's a masterpiece! I personally wouldn't class it as British, but it's made their list. I am also glad to see Repulsion on the list.

Not sure I've seen many off the list

Dr. No (Bond finding its feet but still enjoyable)
The Man in the White Suit (enjoyed it)
Oliver
Four Weddings & a Funeral
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (frickin' hilarious)
Blow-Up
2001 (amazing in parts, confusing in others)
Witchfinder General
Went the Day Well
Laurence of Arabia
Life of Brian (enjoy it a lot)
Brazil (great film)
The Wicker Man (classic)
Kavin
Jackie Chan's Little Toe
