The Ultimate Edition sounds interesting I wont be saving any shelf space though with a box like that.

Fantastic news, I'll be surprised if the DC is a genuine new HD scan mind, probably be a SD upconvert knowing our luck.

According to the Blu Ray.com thread:
According to the translated thread at the Cinefacts forum it seems to be 3 BDs and 3 DVDs - maybe both Theatrical Cuts will be on 1 Blu Ray. Additionally, the DC in this version is apparently courtesy of MGM and will replicate the version on their R3 HK DVD.

I talked to Koch yesterday. The Directors Cut has the MGM Master. And it is the Hong-Kong-Directors-Cut-Version in its OAR (1:1.85). Most of the DC has an 1080-Master. Only the additional scenes are not full hd. But Koch digitally worked on them. They said, in first tests the difference was just slightly noticed.
I think, on the RC3-DVD by MGM it looked almost perfekt. So there should be great hope for the hd-release.
