I'm so excited by this news my balls ache.

I would never trust Amazon specs, but "99 minutes" is the NC-17 run time.

IMO Mark you should just assume that they're the boxset blu-rays being sold individually (AFAIAA the whole trilogy is out that day, not just dollars), can't see MGM bothering to re-release them with new transfers.

Yeah I assume its just the same BD in the boxset. The Italian BD of TGTBATU is supposed to be a lot better, but I dont want to listen to the actors in Italian :?
Does anyone have the German BDs of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More? Apparently FAFDM is the longest version available anywhere in the world.

I'm sure you're right. Sucks that you can't get the original (and superior) version in HD.

Vertigo also in Sept.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vertigo-Blu-ray ... ds=vertigo

Better have mono!

Also coming are two Hitchcock Box Sets:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hitchcock-Vol-B ... =hitchcock

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hitchcock-Vol-B ... =Hitchcock

Psycho and Vertigo are on the wrong sets (chronologically speaking).

The German BD of Enter the Dragon is coming out in 10 days for only 13 Euros (12.99), its the exact same disc as the USA one in a plain keep case. Shame about a) the German title and b) The ratings logo.

How odd, I'll have to keep an eye on Entertainment One from now on. A customer on Amazon says it's open-matte rather than cropped, though.

Warm Bodies was filmed in Super 35 with an intended ratio of 2.35.

Doesn't the existing BD have a DP supervised HD transfer?

And I'm sure the second cut will just be the old network TV version in P&S that no one would ever actually sit thru.

Excuse my cynicism, but Halloween is one of those films that keeps being re-re-released ad nauseum.

the tv version included on my old dvd is in widescreen,it was a hybrid version i think,it didn't have the network cuts and the extra footage was integrated back in.

I'm happy about the news, had the good sense to hold off buying the former Blu-ray in the hope that a more faithful release would eventually come along. I just hope my patience pays off!
