Interview with director Miki Satoshi

Post by Shogun »

During February and March 2012, film director Miki Satoshi, along with actress Eri Fuse, arrived in the UK to attend the London event Hyper Japan 2012 and the East Winds Film Festival in Coventry as part of the special guests line-up. I was fortunate enough to conduct a face-to-face interview with Mr. Satoshi and Ms. Fuse at Hyper Japan. Here is a link to my interview with Mr. Satoshi. Please enjoy!

I really like Miki Satoshi, it's a shame Third Window can no longer release 'The Insects Unlisted in the Encyclopaedia' but I'll definitely be checking out 'Adrift in Tokyo'. His series 'Atami no Sousakan' was great, like a Japanese Twin Peaks!

Only seen (and own) Adrift in Tokyo from Miki, which is rather good although could use deleting a side plot. I'd love to see Turtles also, should probably rent that.

Instant Swamp is also worth checking out - the film has a rather unpredictable ending!
