Disc 1: Film (BD-25)Video: Anamorphic 1080p
Audio: DTS-HD 5.1 English, LPCM 2.0 English
Subtitles: Japanese (burnt in)
Extras: Trailer, Teaser and TV spot, plus bonus trailers for Shin onna tachiguishi retsuden and Kill (all SD)
A few things to note about this BD. First and foremost, the film features burnt in Japanese subtitles for English dialogue. The film is spoken 95% in English (the rest is Japanese), or rather Engrish. Each chapter also begins with a Japanese language introduction text. Secondly, the disc is a BD-25. This is hardly a problem as the film only runs 70 minutes and there are no other extras than trailers on the disc.
Disc 2: Extras (DVD-9)- Making of (99 min, 25 chapters)
- Interviews (Kuroki, Kikuchi, Saeki, Fujiki) (20 min)
- Post dubbing (5 min)
- Press conference (11 min)
- Premiere (11 min)
- Special Effects featurette (16 min)
- Q&A (11 min)*
- Assault Girl short movie (from Shin onna tachiguishi retsuden) (8 min)
- Assault Girl 2 short movie (from Kill) (11 min)
*presented full screen. All other extras are in anamorphic widescreen, although the picture quality is not very good.
Case
- Carboard sleeve
- Amaray case
- 16 page booklet
- 98 page storyboard book
The storyboards feature Mamoru Oshii's storyboards for the film. The 16 page booklet, unless I'm completely mistaken, is the same one that was sold in theaters is larger size during the film's theatrical run. A production book is also available for purchase (have it back home, it's about 80 pages and quite nice).
