Interlacing aside, looks pretty identical to me.

Interlacing is bad in the R1,especially in the first cap.R2 wins this one by default for the progressive image.

Can you post the subs in your next comparison? I asked in your other thread but you never addressed it.

When are they out on BD?if they were coming anytime soon eureka would've released them alongside the dvd boxset.

Had no idea VLC doesnt capture subs with screenshots. I've always captured screens with WinDVD or PowerDVD & they include the subs.

My R2 disc of this wouldn't play properly - kept freezing in last 20min. How about yours?

I've heard there's a trailer for LW&C (in HD) on their Shogun Assassin BD, I rented it so hopefully will check it out soon.
If an HD master exsists, hopefully a BD is coming though I imagine a BD Boxset would be expensive (I still have the cheap Thai set which were R1 ports).

The Shogun Assassins are all coming out on BD from Animeigo, so doesn't that mean they basically have LW&C 3-6 HD masters there? Or at least a good start.

Thats what I thought, they must have LW&C 1-2 in HD as well (to make Shogun Assassin).
I liked how the Animego subs explained Japanese terms and made it clear who was talking. The Thai ports are the same AFAIK, just the subs are white.
