Curse of the Golden Flower: French BD vs Edko DVD

Note1:
This is my very first BD vs DVD comparison, and I don't know what I'm doing. There's a slight chance that my BD caps might be inaccurate.
Note2:
The french BD is seriously flawed. Throughout the entire film, the sound is ahead of the picture by about two tenths of a second.
This can be fixed by setting the audio delay on your amp (if your amp supports it).
French BD specs:
1080p AVC transfer (different from the US release).
DTS-HD MA 5.1 mandarin track.
No english subs.
Blu-Ray on top.
Edko at bottom.

The BD is obviously sharper, but not as sharp as I would have hoped.
Close-ups show a large amount of chroma noise (that's what it looks like, anyway) that shouldn't be there (see the purple spots at the top of Gong Li's forehead on cap 2).
Other than that, it looks pretty amazing.
