Note: Mei Ah is letterboxed with burnt-in english subs.
K&R's subs are based on the Mei Ah (and slightly improved).

Let's start with a couple of sub samples.
Mei Ah top.
K&R bottom.

The translation is similar but K&R's subs tend to be more precise (and some of the signs are subtitled as well).

Let's move on to PQ:

No contest.
The Mei Ah looks like a poor VCD, complete with non-existent shadow detail, edge-enhancement and giant macroblocking artifacts.

It's interesting to note that the Kam & Ronson transfer is slightly cropped and that the framing is a little bit different.
Still, if you've got the Mei Ah you really should upgrade IMO. :D

Thanks! What are the audio options?

K&R for 'Fight Back To School', is possibly inferior to Mei Ah which offers the 2.0 track. K&R offers more channels, but what good those will do to enhance the movie anymore...

I often wonder if Mei Ah (on their remastered) downgrade a Mandarin 5.1 and pass it off as the original theatrical mix.

Let's see...

There's a 6.1 ES Discrete DTS remix (cantonese).
There's a 5.1 EX Dolby remix (cantonese).
There's a 5.1 EX Dolby remix (mandarin).

I only listened to the DTS mix.
Didn't notice any unnatural foley effects.
Music was clear, dialogue wasn't muffled and sound effects "felt" okay.
Spatialization was noticeable but subtle throughout the film (just what you'd expect from an ordinary remix).
