There is no major improvements here; there are some tone changes resulting in better contrast, less digital noise
and less edge enhancement than the previous transfer. It is an improvement but don't upgrade based on the
video quality.

The R2 UK standard edition has different framing to those. I compared it to my R1 unrated.

The unrated looks pretty nice.

Maybe a smidgen softer though...?

But, yeah, better overall.

R1 has better everything, except that artifacting.

It's still not the same movie I saw at the cinemas... I wonder why they never released the European theatrical cut on DVD :(

What's the difference? :?

Well I know that the 'hello? Little old lady?' bit still isn't on the Unrated version.

Who can tell if this 'uncut' version really does contain all the footage that was ever shown on TV/DVD versions?

I've seen about 3 versions.

But deleted scenes are different things to scenes being cut for a certain age rating, so maybe the scenes missing aren't supposed to be in the film.

In so far as I know there were only ever 2 DVD versions, the US theatrical (which appeared on DVD all over the world) and the "unrated/extended" version (which seems to have appeared on DVD all over the world)...

The European (/International?) theatrical cut seems to have been forgotten... sad, as I thought it worked better than any of my DVD versions :(

Why they put in Jeff dumping his toilet and left out the lil'ole'lady I'll never know :D

What are the differences between the three?

FYI, the unrated disc has about 30 minutes of deleted scenes so it is possible the other versions you speak of had these in there.

Well, stacking a bunch of clips as bonus-extras doesn't make it the same movie I saw theatrically ;)
