Only the french disc has DD5.1 tracks. The korean disc only has DTS.

OK, overall the korean disc isn't too bad.
Still, the HK Vidéo is 10x sharper without using edge-enhancement.

I wouldn't say it was 10x better or even much sharper. It's sharper yes but not by much.

The Korean DVD wins for me by having DTS on the F2B. Does the French Colour version also only have DD5.1?

There are DD5.1 tracks on both versions (and for both languages).

Well the Colour version is messed up then only offering Korean DD5.1, at least the F2B offers both over the Korean DVD.

Dubs don't count in my book, the French studios do like to go overboard with their stupid dubs. Why not include Korean DTS and DD5.1 on both cuts with a French DD5.1 on both cuts? French DTS shouldn't have been allowed.

About the soundtrack:
I think it's only fair.

The average french movie-goer prefers dubs.
He gets a french DTS track on the colour version.

The average french purist prefers the original language.
He gets a korean DTS track on the director's preferred version.

Everybody's happy (at least in France ).

Thankfully the British DVD creators seem to no longer inflict such stupidity on to us, see British Films/DVDs are better at something. I can only think of 3 Tartan DVDs (for example) in the last 5 years which have English dubs (IA-IA-IA3) and I doubt Tartan created them.

FYI: 87% of the french population have never watched a subtitled film.
At least 50% don't even know that they CAN watch these films in their original language.

The French image is sharper than the stubble on my face, 5 mins after shaving. 8)

There was only an English dub on IA1, Tartan's IA2&3 only have Catonese tracks. Their Hard Boiled remaster had a number of dub tracks though:- English 5.1 & mono IIRC.

Dubbing is fine as long as the original audio is provided as well.
