It was kinda weird, one dream I had, I was trying to write something down in a diary IN THE DREAM as if it was real, lol :D And I kept thinking "I must remember this", then I was disappointed when I woke up :D

Yeah I hate that, it's like when Homer Simpson dreamt he invented something amazing but no one in the dream would tell him or show him what it was

It's strange how dreams are difficult to keep in memory even if you could remember them when you woke up. At least for me it's like that... I may remember the dream well when I wake up, and want to keep it in my mind, but after a few hours or at least a few days it will usually just fade away.

It's kinda like most lectures in university...

It makes sense though since they're not real experiences, the brain has no real reason to store them as memories.

Aren't your dreams kinda based on your own memories/thoughts though?
I agree with what Hung said, I remember parts of the dreams shortly afterwards and want to record them/write them down properly, and keep them in my mind, but they just fade away too quickly :(

Inception is fantastic. It's so refreshing to watch a Hollywood movie that makes you think. I'll definitely be getting the blu-ray. 8 out of 10 for me. It did tie itself up in knots a bit near the end and got too clever for it's own good. Those are more niggles than anything else though.

From Paris With Love 2/5

Intermittedly entertaining actioner is an ultimately disappointing effort from the director of the far superior Taken. John Travolta is the loopy C.I.A. agent who partners the bland Jonathan Rhys Meyers on the hunt around Paris for a group of international terrorists. The script is by the numbers and the action isn't particularly memorable,in it's favour is the lightning pace and it's star..Travolta is always worth watching in almost anything.

Kick-Ass 3/5

2nd time around watching this superhero actioner,it's decent but on closer examination definitely not as good as the hype. The film has some engaging performances from it's leads but it veers uneasily at times as the tone shifts quite often from light hearted comedy to ruthless violence.good performances from it's young stars especially Chloe Grace Moretz as the potty-mouthed Hit Girl. The Blu-ray is a stunner.

Casino Royale (2006): 4.5/5

Still an awesome film :notworthy: Daniel Craig is excellent as a rough-and-ready Bond. Maybe 2.5 hours is a bit long for an action film but really the action scenes are great, I also loved some of the throwaway lines and humour, eg the itchy balls gag during the torture scene :D And the time when Bond first orders a complex drink (vodka martini with rum, gin and slice of lemon, no ice, or something like that), everyone else wants one, and Le Chiffre is like "OK does anyone want to play poker?! :D
I also loved the growing tenderness between Bond and Vesper.. that scene where he comforts her in the shower (still in his suit).
And it shows how Bond is learning, becoming the unbeatable secret agent.

Toy Story 3: 5/5

2nd viewing, excellent. In parts so funny, but also so moving. If it wasnt for the lighthearted credits I would have cried :( I did get teary at the end :( And also the beginning is a wonderful nod to the first film.

Mr. Chuckles was hilarious  But his story was so sad I felt bad laughing :D
Loved Spanish Buzz and Mr Pricklepants too :D
The beginning part with You've Got a Friend In Me playing was just beautiful :(

In some ways I wanted Lotso to redeem himself at the end but I felt more sorry for Big Baby, that scene where he's looking up at the moon and then sees Daisy's heart and says "Mama.." man, that was sad.
On balance Lotso was pure evil and deserved what he got, but maybe in his mind he thought if he can be replaced, Daisy didnt really love him :(
And the ending scene with Andy playing with Bonnie.. just like he's a kid again, I was teary eyed then, beautiful :( So touching.

Pixar, thank you :notworthy:

Session 9 (USA, 2001) - 3.5/5
In the lounge, at 3 a.m., completely drunk, trying to make out of the dialogue... not quite the ideal way to watch this movie. That being said, even if I can't walk straight, I'm proud my brains do still work to the extent of coming up with two theories, the less interesting (Gordon taken over by Simon) and the far more interesting (Gordon is Mary), even if inspection's gotta have to wait till the recovery of full brain activity. Nice digital cinematography and visual look too (I dig digi sober also). Let's throw some some good rating for this film. 3.5 will probably do...

From Russia With Love: 4/5
Solid early Bond which I enjoyed. The BD transfer is very good.
It appears cut to me though.

Why? Surely it's just the cuts that were made to the film for worldwide release.

Thats what I meant. IMDB talks of "a nude shot of Tania walking towards the bed in the bridal suite" having been restored, that shot is nowhere to be seen. Other things seem cut too (eg the gypsy dance).

It's the same BBFC cut version as has always been available.

The nude shot is still in the film. The distributor opted to darken it rather than remove it altogether.

There are rumours that the gypsy fight was cut to remove a shot where pubic hair became visible.

When does the nude shot occur?
One rather obvious cut near the end, the "what a performance" line is missing.
Thanks btw :)

Mark and Grim, give it a rest with your Bond cuts. We've got what we've got. Deal with it. From Russia With Love isn't cut, it has deleted scenes. That's very different.

No, it was cut. Grim is right, you're wrong. Deal with it.

Nude shot occurs first time Bond meets Tania in his hotel room.

Tomato, Tomarto. We're still never gonna see it released. Which of course you know.

What the hell is a 'tomarto'?

I know it's not gonna be released. Never said it was.

Doesn't change the fact: Grim was right, you were wrong.

Accept it.

It equally doesn't the change the fact, you both needlessly bring it up every few months. As if, it's somehow different to it was a few months earlier. I await the forthcoming Tomorrow Never Dies and Goldeneye discussions.

We all know that American films are often pre-cut by the MPAA, yet are classed as uncut, so it seems a bit silly to refer to From Russia with Love as cut when that's the only version available to the world. Does it really make a difference that the BBFC did it? It's only worth moaning about when our country gets a cut version and the rest of the world has it uncut.

Exactly. Basically what I was saying but you said it better.

These cuts may not be director intended but they're part of the reality of releasing a film.

Just because there's only one version available of From Russia With Love doesn't automatically mean that version is uncut. That's a plainly ridiculous statement. Technically Grim is correct in stating that the film is 'cut' as it was officially cut back in 1963 by the BBFC. Yes, we've had this conversation before, and I've no interest in having it again... but I'm not going to sit back and let you guys criticize Grim when he's the one in the right. You pick on him because he's an easy target. That's not on. So what if he (or I) have mentioned it before. It's not like we're the only ones guilty of repetition on certain topics. So cut him some slack.
