TBH, I don't really care if people use 'illegal' substances, as long as they don't bother anyone else, or bring anyone else in any kind of danger.

Would I be friends with those kinda people? No, I doubt it. Probably because I think it's silly and I wouldn't really feel comfortable around people like that. That doesn't mean they're bad people, or that I wouldn't 'like' them, but it would just be wayyy to different from my own 'morals and values' about that kinda stuff.

Illegal has nothing to do with it, there are plenty of legal chemicals going round which are far more dangerous than some illegal ones. I don't personally think it's ignorant of me that I've experienced a 5-minute loss of all sense of self (salvia, of the mint family, it's legal). It was incredibly interesting tbh and gives me an idea of what death will feel like :D

This is where you're confusing drug use and drug abuse, there is no chance I would ever do something like that.

Religion only "works" if fools are dumb enough not to question it. You should know that by now.

Maybe not... but you'll still have taken part in a gay act.
I would just see it as a kiss between 2 lovers. I think, as an actor, you would have to...
I've never had any sexual fantasy about any guy whatsoever, but if I were an actor and the role would require for me to play a gay guy, and the movie requires on-screen 'proof' of that aspect of my character's life, then yeah, I'm pretty sure you would have to kiss the other actor.
You wouldn't have to. Actors have choices. You could turn down the role. Saying "oh I'm not gay, I'm just getting paid to pretend to be gay" isn't terribly convincing when you're fondling another bloke's nuts.
Maybe. If I were an actor it would just depend on the director and role. Obviously, when it's the guy who's directing 'White Chicks 3', I'd turn it down. If it was Wong Kar Wai with a good and interesting script, I'd probably say yes.

Ofcourse you can say no. Maybe I would. But if the script/director is really really good, and the role is interesting, I'd probably trust in their good taste and judgement and just do what is required of me, as an actor, to portay it effectively on-screen.
I'm not THAT homophobic, nor am I scared of ever becoming gay. In fact, I'd probably be worried more about doing a romantic movie with a cute, pretty, sweet, funny, attractive girl, cause THAT would have the potential risk of turning into something more than just work.

You keep telling yourself that as you swallow man saliva.

That doesn't change a thing except maybe in your own mind. It's still a gay act no matter how pretentious the director filming it.

Nothing to do with being scared. Just be honest about what you're doing. Acting out a homosexual scenario for money.

Yeah that could be true, people often mention 'addictive personalities' as being responsible for that though. I don't know if you've heard about it but there's a new (currently legal) drug taking the country by storm at the moment called mephedrone. It's infamous for being moreish, and my friends have definitely shown that kind of behaviour with it on the past few nights out that we've tried it. Myself on the other hand, at the crazy new year's party I was at, once the effects had worn off at 2:30am I stayed completely sober for the rest of my time there (didn't leave till 6am) because I don't know what the safe dosage is. When all I had to do was take a bit more to get my dance on again. How's that for self-control ;) I had no hangover the next day either, just felt tired because I'd been up all night.

I'm sorry, but I quickly checked my schedule, and it seems I'm occupied for the starring role in a suicide-snuff movie, directed by myself.... :dontknow:

It's hard to explain, maybe cause I can't explain it properly, or maybe cause you just wouldn't understand.

To be honest, if I had confidence in the movie, the role, the director, the script, etc... it would just be my job as an actor. Is it a 'gay' act? I guess. Doesn't change the fact that I never had a gay thought stray across my mind in my life, and I seriously doubt I'd get such thoughts while doing such a scene. The way I would 'play' it, or 'experience it', would be to just imagine I was in love and attracted to that person, and so at that moment it would probably feel 'normal'. I think that's what you do when you act.

You say it doesn't matter what the movie is. I think it does. You would want to be part of something GOOD, and memorable. Kissing a dude in White Chicks 3 would be BAD. Very bad. Hell I would turn down any role for that movie!

But when you can add a movie like Happy Together or Brokeback Mountain to your list of movies... I think you can walk away from that very very proudly, cause it asks something special from the actors.

I didn't say kissing a man for an acting job automatically makes you gay. Just that it's a gay act. If you're willing to accept that then by all means take that co-starring role in Brokeback 2 with Brad. I would argue however that going further than kissing (ie. touching intimate parts etc) makes you gay. No straight guy does that. There's no amount of money that could make me play with some dude's cock.

I will be in Brokeback 2 if I get screentime with Anne Hathaway.

Everyone but a psycho knows murder and rape are wrong, that is not even comparable with sleeping with a member of your own sex (consensually).

Holly shit this thread is moving fast. My last post was 2.5 pages back. I really cannot be bothered to read it all.

p.s - There's way, way more straight sex in Brokeback Mountain than gay sex. Go figure!
