Enter The Ninja (1981) - Thursday/Friday 1am on Dave

Post by grim_tales »

I spotted this in the Radio Times. Franco Nero plays an army vet (vet or veteran?) who becomes a Ninja warrior. Mark, Ivan may have seen it ;) AFAIK the UK DVD is chopped to bits (according to Rewind), is the film any good? RT gives it 3 stars and says "Cult martial arts action".

It'a pile of shit.

And the UK versions are missing over 4 mins of violence, weapons use, and animal cruelty cut by the BBFC.

It's been screened uncut on Bravo.

OK then :D You know more about MA B movies than me ;)
Maybe Dave will show it uncut, it said "Showing for the first time since 2004", maybe it was on Bravo at that time.

Isn't Bravo a channel that caters to gay men?

Better? Nope. Since I saw it uncut originally.

Maybe you'd like it though... don't avoid it because of what I've said.

I'll wait and see if its shown again some day. I find it surprising it would be shown uncut on TV if it included animal cruelty.

A lot of older films contain cockfighting. TV censors are less strict with that sort of thing.

Not sure about the sequels being "much" better. Marginally better perhaps? At least the third one has a possessed aerobics instructor.
