Alex was coming across as stuck up on the Xtra factor asking:
1. She have a duet with Girls Aloud
2. She have another duet with Beyonce
3. She support Beyonce on tour
4. Holly call her kid Alex
I'm sure she wasn't being entirely serious but even so.
p.s - What sort of person wanting to make it in the music industry allows themselves to be filmed? A stupid one.

And Mariah Carey, yawn!grim_tales wrote:I didnt see those parts but I think Beyonce really supported Alex and she (Beyonce) was really Alex's hero.
She came across a little stuck up for someone who has just won an award show. They think this is IT when frankly it's only just begun for them.grim_tales wrote:As you say maybe she said it in a jokey way but why not?
The X Factor is by no means a ticket to success.

Yeah, she said Mariah Carey. But you can have more than one idol
I agree with your point though that it doesnt guarantee success by any means (Look at Steve B). I think she was graceful in winning, she kept thanking everybody many times she was just emotional and excited too (which explains the tears I guess). Ruth was also lovely and very polite in defeat when she went.

Another pearl of wisdom brought to you by Grim.grim_tales wrote:She shouldnt pay the bastard, He just wants money.
Remember when artists had to struggle for years playing dingy pubs before getting spotted or a demo tape finding its way to an execs desk? Now megastardom is handed out on a silver platter. When will the public see thru this? She came across a little stuck up for someone who has just won an award show. They think this is IT when frankly it's only just begun for them.

Exactly. To be fair many still do it the old fashioned way.Markgway wrote:Remember when artists had to struggle for years playing dingy pubs before getting spotted or a demo tape finding its way to an execs desk? Now megastardom is handed out on a silver platter. When will the public see thru this?
As to the public seeing through it, they largely do. The majority of these so called stars disappear after the shows are over. I bet Leon Jackson does.
