Koji Wakamatsu may be dead, but Wakamatsu Production is coming back to life... with a film about Koji Wakamatsu. Kazuya Shiraishi (The Devil's Path, Dawn of Felines, The Blood of Wolves) helms,a Arata Iura will play Wakamatsu, Mugi Kadowaki also stars. Coming sometime this fall.

I'm not terribly convinced. The trailer makes it looks like a 2018 version of 1969. Which is the exact same impression I get from The Blood of Wolves trailer, which makes it look more like a V-Cinema film than something (succesfully) mimicking the 70s cinema...

Who is this film even supposed to be for? The die-hard Wakamatsu fans are most likely disgusted by the slick commercial look of it and I just can't see the mainstream audience giving a shit.
