Re: Mad Bull 34 anime finally getting a release on DVD
Discotek is pretty much the anime label I'd run if I were running an anime label. They are incredibly smart to focus on titles from the 70ies, 80ies and 90ies because not only are those way cheaper to license than the most recent moe harem show from my own personal hell, they're also exploiting (in the best possible way) the nostalgia of older fans, which is way easier to do than getting some 14 year old to buy a show on DVD/BD that (s)he already downloaded fansubbed months ago.
Of course I'll pick up MAD BULL 34. I've actually never seen it, having only had the option of the cut to shreds, dubbed UK VHS tapes from Manga Video for the past 15 years or so.
I swear if Discotek announce ANGEL COP, VIOLENCE JACK and the DEVILMAN OVAs (now available on Blu-ray in Japan) in the near future, my head will explode while Kodomo Band plays on the soundtrack.
