A couple of days ago I watched my old Deltamac version of "Fulltime Killer" and noticed that the film, although made in 2001, looks as if it was 20 years old. Maybe because they didn't use the master, but rather an outworn copy from a local HK theater. In addition to that the DVD is interlaced. I like that film so much, but from a today's perspective the DVD is unacceptable.
Does anybody know if there are any news for a new DVD or Blu-Ray release?

I don't really know. Could anybody confirm that? I know that they used the same transfer for the German e-m-s disc.

I think the UK was a conversion job.
The French disc should be better, but no subs of course.

I love this film too prompting me to buy at least three versions so far: Pony Canyon R2, Palm Pictures R1, and DeltaMac R0. Unfortunately they all have very poor transfers. If the Tartan is any better, I'd gladly dump those three.

All versions are shit transfers. The French and Tartan versions are both anamorphic and dts. I think the French disc has more extras. Don't know how comparable the picture quality is but it cant be that much better than the French, I would imagine.

Was the old Trimark R1 better than the Palm Pictures disc that replaced it?

The best version of Fulltime Killer is one that doesn't play.
