Re: What Have You Just Ordered or Received?

I used to collect DVDs, CDs and vinyl, including a bunch of merchandise, when I was a teenager and during my post-adolescent period. I never had that much money, but I spent almost all my earnings on that stuff. Even when I couldn't afford it, I used to starve myself and, instead of buying food, spe...

Re: Fist in Japan

In Hollywood some stars may think that they shouldn't do something "cheap" like TV ads, but in Japan that's not a problem. Some of those Hollywood stars do travel to Japan and do commercials there. They get paid pretty well, I suppose. It seems the Japanese companies do hire Hollywood stars to come...

Re: Fist in Japan

As far as I can tell it's about a girl who thinks her father is so uncool and she even sings about it, but then one day she sees her father at work (apologizing for mistakes that weren't really his fault for the sake of others) and she comes to think that his father is a pretty cool guy after all. ...

Did you see that North Korean movie, 'Mies joka ei voinut nukkua'? I think it was about a guy who lived in North Korea and was a totally chill guy. He would spent a lot of his days day dreaming, and he would sleep during the night and have these marvelous dreams. It's really a beautiful movie, and a...

She has mainstream taste in movies... There is a pretty wide selection of movies that is in the mainstream. Much to choose from, if you care to spend time watching movies. Of course, everybody prioritize differently. That’s just fine for me, I’ve watched movies alone all my life and I don’t see any...

Ayame is a wonderful name, and I very rarely hear of Japanese girls with that name. I gotta admit, I think this movie looks pretty cool, based on the trailer. And I find Ayame Misaki super hot here. I will probably end up seeing this, at some point.

Re: Only God Forgives (Nicolas Winding Refn) (2013)

Yeah, I love 'Only God Forgives'. I think this movie has more in common with 'Valhalla Rising', than it has with 'Drive'. It's kind of like a 'Valhalla Rising' set in Thailand. 'Only God Forgives' is a great genre movie, in my opinion. I like the dark, romantic tone of it. I like this mythological w...

Re: Fist in Japan

Japanese girls are very submissive. It's because traditionally they've been in a very inequal position - and they still are - so they've come to accept it. Many of them can't even imagine any other way, and some are completely helpless alone. And many of them still take it as a "fact of life" that ...

In Western countries you could be as weird as you wanted and no one would give damn, which is kinda counter-encouraging. Furthermore, Western countries don't have the kind of censorship that Japan still has. Japanese AV is still optically censored - and it used to be much more so for decades. When ...
