Yeah, you get more visual information! I mean, after all, my movie isn't complete if I don't have boom mics visible at the top of the screen and stunt mats visible on the bottom  As a film completist, I sometimes enjoy watching open matte films as a curiosity piece... but I'll always approve t...

From what I've read, it seems like both the German and Japanese DVDs use the Fortune Star transfer... and both are a bit of a pain to find.

Damn Dragon Dynasty for teasing us with clips from this transfer AND the US TV spot!

Wow, just ran into this post after some random searching... just about two years later, and the chances of this being released by DD are now slim to none. It's a fact that (sadly) the classics we love so much haven't sold as well as, say, the re-released (and still cut) Jet Li films. This being said...

Btw, Five Deadly Venoms is up for pre-order on Amazon... looks like it may be official after all. But for now, it sadly looks like the only DD Shaws DVD coming out then. I was fairly certain Return to the 36TH Chamber would make an appearance sometime. Hell, I'd like to see the two official follow u...

You reckon? All others have had the original language. Ehhhh... I mean, weren't there multiple Cantonese language DVDs for My Father Is A Hero available and DD couldn't use them for a source? Bodyguard From Beijing had a half-assed late 90s (I think) Mei Ah DVD... and I'm fairly certain that's it. ...

I bet it's just called The Defender. As long as it has the original language, I'll probably get it. AFAIK there are no remotely decent versions of Bodyguard from Beijing. You might be right about the title... and if that's the case, I'm getting the feeling it'll be "The Enforcer" all over again... ...

I've tried to collect the Dragon Dynasty discs after I got a bunch for free for helping them, and I was happy with most of them... but it seems like it was around Tai Chi Master that things slowly started to go downhill. Makes it harder to be a collector when their output is becoming, let's say, "le...

As I basically mentioned before, until further notice, any previous Dimension owned films are going to be clusterfucked to the extreme... just varying degrees (Fist of Legend cut by a few seconds with a Cantonese option, My Father Is a Hero cut by minutes and dubbed only). How Crime Story made it th...

grrrrrrrrrrRRRAAAAAHH!!! I'm tired of the "Dimenson hand me downs" basically just being the same half assed cuts with a new coat of paint thrown on! I pretty much pray DD doesn't get the rights back to Drunken Master II! Expect the same "Legend of Drunken Master" title, English opening and end credi...

The Big Boss is a fantastic movie,Raw and rough certainly but absolutely superb.i've probably watched it more times than Bruce's other HK movies. I usually don't like DD artwork, but I think that Venoms cover is actually good! The 'Five Venoms' title would have been nice, but certain audiences refer to the film with it's US 'Five Deadly Venoms' title. True... maybe "King Boxer" didn't hit the numbers they expected with the smaller "AKA Five ...

Saw this teaser in the theater (in 3d) last night, and it put a goofy grin on my face. Then again, seems like Pixar is good at doing that. Looking forward to seeing the first two re-released to keep everyone somewhat patient until this comes out.

The Bonzai DVD, from what I can tell, seems to be taken from the US Xenon video release... which in turn, was a hybrid. Let me explain: The Xenon video release uses the German VHS print titled "Bruce Li - Die Killerkralle", which had a 2.20 widescreen print... but was censored. Using this German pri...

Sooo... I take it this has been confirmed? http://dv1.us/p1/679/130679-d1.jpg This image and the August 18th date are on DVD Aficianado. Game of Death is fucking garbage, it's an insult to package that shameless exploitation bile with the proper Bruce Lee films. Only the 40 min recut of footage that Bruce shot is worth seeing. Well, a blu-ray of Bruce Lee in G.O.D would be nice  Although I don't think blu-ray has taken off muc...

Yeah... still not sure why they dropped Game of Death though. Sure, it's not 100% Bruce Lee (Hell, not even 50%), but it'd be great to see the final fights in HD. Eh, maybe they'll make a Game of Death two pack later on :P

Every once in a while, there's a blu-ray review on that site that sneaks through with "digicam screencaps"... I'm surprised since so many are ripped straight from the blu-rays now.

Well, back on topic, asianblurayguide.com has the Bruce Lee blu-rays aimed for June 15, 2009... however, this was probably a random date chosen as it's right in the middle of June. I expect to see proper dates on DDDHouse or YesAsia.

Enter the Dragon is in "HD trouble" right now if you ask me. The Warner Bros Region A is indeed a jagged mess (even at $14 brand new in store, I haven't bought it), and if the Fortune Star DVD is any indication, the HD transfer of the HK cut isn't really too impressive. And hey, if it's a boxset, I'...
