Re: Kodoku Meatball Machine (Yoshihiro Nishimura, 2016)

The interesting thing is it says "Unrated Edition" and lists a running time of 108 minutes as opposed to the 100 minutes that was listed for the theatrical release. I can't confirm either running time, but I so far it looks like this will be a longer version. Here's what King Records, who...

Orgasm Mariko (オーガズム・真理子) (Japan, 1985) [VoD] - 2/5 This bloody revenge film has one of the most ridiculous premises in recent memory, courtesy of writer Chiho Katsura (Assault! BRUTAL by Takashi Hirose looks like it should fit in this thread. The film is a love story between male and a female serial killers. Asami has a small role in this as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zt4JTk7pfGM http://i63.tinypic.com/dzbe5j.jpg http://i65.tinypic.com/4lip9k.jpg http://i64.tiny...

Re: Classic Japanese Exploitation (pinky violence & pink)

The only thing more hilarious than some of those retitelings is the fact that they put that list in their 2017 catalogue. How many of these films will actually be released in 2017? Considering they still haven't released all of the 27 titles of the batch they announced in 2009 I'd say... probably n...

Re: Shimauma (2016) +Flower and Snake: Zero (2014)

HK censors cut both ICHI THE KILLER and FLOWER AND SNAKE: ZERO. SHIMAUMA falls somewhere in between in the sex & violence department and as such I'd be really surprised if it escaped the censor's scissors unscathed.

Re: Roman Porno Reboot (Sono, Nakata, Shiota, Yukisada, Shiraishi) (2016)

It looks to me as if ANTIPORNO and WET WOMAN IN THE WIND have been somehow disentangled from the entire 4 film reboot effort. Not only have only these two films received subtiled DVD releases in Hong Kong, they are also the only two films of the reboot to have received limited theatrical release in ...

Litchi Hikari Club (Eisuke Naito, 2015)

I'll give anything by Naito a shot. Reviews for the novel sum up the plot as being about a female transfer student suffering increasingly horrific bullying until a tragedy occurs. Could be boring tripe or quite awesome, depending how said "tragedy" plays out. Until a trailer appears I'll j...

Yes, it was Germany and I will probably hold out for that. Midori Impuls is handling the release there. They're a fairly new label but are already buying up a lot of the same films we're discussing here. For 2018 they have already announced as dual DVD/BD releases: - Dream of Eyeball (Sato) - Meatba...

Excellent news but it's pretty annoying that Japan seems to have not yet fully embraced the Blu-ray format. Lower budget and smaller films keep getting DVD only releases

Another case of an actress deeply regretting her decision to appear in roman porno? That'd be my first guess. Anyway, let's be thankful it's a mediocre flick that got cancelled and not one we were really looking forward to getting a BD.

Or you could use a proxy service like celga.com and let them deal with amazon or the sellers there before passing the good on to you. Of course they charge you a fee for it so take that into account.

I didn't mind the drama during the introduction and thought this would be a real return to form by Nishimura when the monster mutant carnage started. Unfortunately, there is indeed some lamentable CGI and the mutant smackdowns get repetitive after a while. It was better than NINJA WAR though.
